New Shaving brush was born after a marriage between the technique used for the Imari (=Arita) porcelain and that of Kumano Brushes.

Imari porcelain reproductions are popular since 400 years.

Very comfortable to the touch, the brush part is made from pure, top quality badger hair and realized by the famous brushes' specialist " Chikuhodo".

We need much more quantity of badger for this kind of product than for the standard one.

This is a luxury brush! The hairs becomes more silky and softer in contact with water, you can really feel comfort.

Badger hairs have a flexibility which make it possible to form a very fine and silky foam.

The handle part is realized by " Takashogama" potter who is specialist in reproduction of the Old Imari Pottery.

Do not miss the high level technique of the patterns and the reproduction which is considered like a cultural important heritage in Japan.

1) Octopus-Arabesque

Brosse Blaireau Rasage en motif Poulpe-Arabesque

This pattern of Old Imari porcelain was often seen in the Edo period.

The "Octopus-Arabesque" pattern changes according to the period,
but this pattern whose frame is filled with color was often drawn in the 18th century.

2) Flower-Arabesque

This pattern that decorated at the edge of plates and vases was passed down to Japan from China.

Arabesque part becomes more important and larger, so used to decorate entirely afterwards.
