
How the "ROKKON" 's brand was born?
In a world, I wanted to create something smart extremely.
I made a research on "Chanoyu" and the tea cup which is used in this tea ceremony by asking myself what is the particular Japanese sensitivity.
I came to the conclusion like this sentence quoted by Juko*1:"Sympathy to things that fades and died"
Succeeded by Rikyu and there is something in common with "folkloric art" pushed by Muneyoshi Yanagi who is ideologist and art critic.
I realized:
Conscience of beauty which represents the aspect of "Wabi" = the emotion of "Shibui"
Something which's faded and died = the feeling to love the antiquity and the vintage
Those which represents and expresses the conscience of beauty that's faded and died, this is the "ROKKON"'s brand.(= six rachines)
I see, I have an impression that I understand why vintage style of Levi's and old clothing is so popular.
It's very new to introduce the total concept of "Wabi-cha" *2 in the fashion!
